Nisha Thacker is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a diverse nutrition and dietetic experience. APDs are university-qualified experts in nutrition and dietetics.
Having lived in India, Toronto and Australia has made her strongly believe in the adage “You are what you eat”. The fact that food assumes significance in all cultures has been reiterated time and again in all her experiences. She understood this not only during her academic years but also during her time spent as a dietetic observer in Australian and Canadian hospitals and later at work as a clinical dietitian at Australian hospitals and community clinics.
Nisha is passionate about health and she hopes to contribute to the goal of keeping people healthy by imparting valuable knowledge and evidence-based advice about food and nutrition. Nisha loves to cook and share her cooking experience and recipe modifications.

To better understand the fascinating relationship between foods, nutrients, dietary patterns, gut bacteria and gastrointestinal health, Nisha is currently doing her PhD at University of Newcastle.

Nisha Thacker is an APD. APD is the only national credential recognised by the Australian Government, Medicare, Department of Veterans Affairs and most private health funds as the quality standard for nutrition and dietetics services in Australia.
