About Dr Singh

Dr Harveen Singh is a paediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist. She has worked as a consultant at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne prior to her move to Sydney. She has experience in caring for children with a wide range of gastroenterological conditions including liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, allergic gut disorders, coeliac disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease and functional gut disorders.

Dr Singh underwent specialist paediatric training in Queensland. Following this, she completed sub-specialist training in gastroenterology at Queensland Children’s Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She then undertook a senior clinical fellowship with a focus on liver disease, transplantation (liver and intestine) and nutrition and worked as a consultant hepatologist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. She is accredited to perform paediatric gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastroenterological Endoscopy.

Dr Singh has published widely in the field of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology. She has presented her research, and received awards at both national and international conferences. She is committed to teaching and education, and is a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians Gastroenterology Curriculum Advisory Group. She finds working with families to establish a diagnosis, management and treatment plan rewarding, and values the importance of good communication and listening.
